NOTE: This workshop is for educators & librarians only.

Join us at Print St. Pete Community Letterpress for a hand lettering workshop for our fellow educators & librarians on Friday, August 9th, from 7pm-9pm. In this 2-hour workshop, Amber Moore of Peabody Calligraphy will introduce calligraphy & hand-lettering techniques using Crayola markers and brush markers, including how to make thin upstrokes & thick downstrokes.

$15/person - PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO NOMAD ART BUS FOR THEIR JUSTICE STUDIO PROJECT. Justice Studio is the in-house art studio program at the Pinellas Regional Juvenile Detention Center (RJDC)—a partnership between NOMADstudio, the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), and detained youth. Twice a week the NOMAD team—art therapist, teaching artists, visiting artists—along with a DJJ staff member, work in a small group setting with youth currently detained by Pinellas, Polk, Hardee, and Highland counties. The program is a combination of indoor art studio sessions, and outdoor mural projects with youth-led decision making about project media and subject matter.

Limited seating. Pre-registration and payment are required to reserve your seat.
