Tampa Bay area paper artists & educators, Payton Hurley & Haley Smith, are teaching a series of 3 papermaking workshops Sundays in June at Print St. Pete (4903 8th Ave S. Gulfport, FL). Join us for one, two, or all 3! $100 each, or all 3 for $250.

Sunday, June 15th- Papermaking 101: Participants will learn to "charge a vat", pull their first sheet of handmade paper, and explore different types of pulp and paper inclusions. 10:00 am - 12:00 pm ($100/person)

Sunday, June 22nd- Exploration of Pulp & Print:Participants will experiment with the pulp printing and pulp painting processes to create one-of-a-kind designs on handmade paper.10:00 am - 12:00 pm ($100/person)

Sunday, June 29th- Botanical Paper & Cyanotype:Participants will make paper from native Florida plants and create cyanotype prints on their botanical sheets.10:00 am - 12:00 pm ($100/person)

IMPORTANT:

• All papermaking workshops will take place outdoors in Print St. Pete’s backyard. While there will be pop-up tents for shade, we do recommend you dress in cool & comfortable attire and prepare to get wet.

• No experience required, and all are welcome, but we ask that children be at least 10 years old and accompanied by an adult.

• All workshops are make-and-take style. Participants will be able to pick-up their sheets from the previous workshop the following Sunday between 12pm-1pm, or by appointment.

• In the event of rain or inclement weather, we will offer a rain date in July.
